Total Time Needed: 1 Hour
Even the littlest voices can lead the cheer with this sturdy homemade megaphone.
Materials
- 22- by 28-inch piece of poster board
- Clear Con-Tact paper
- Pencil and ruler
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
- Colored tape
- Craft knife
- Metal cabinet pull (under $2 at hardware stores)
- 2 paper fasteners
Instructions
1. Cover one side of the poster board with the Con-Tact paper, then use a pencil and ruler to mark the board as shown. Cut out the shaded area.
2. Line the long right-hand edge with double-sided tape. Flip the board over, being careful not to let the tape stick to anything, and line the right-hand edge on that side with another strip of tape.
3. With the Con-Tact paper on the outside, roll the board into a cone and press together the two strips of tape to secure the shape. Trim the ends to even the edges, then decorate the megaphone with colored tape.
4. For the handle, use a craft knife to cut 2 small slits along the seam, spaced the width of the cabinet pull's holes. Then attach the pull at the slits with paper fasteners.
